Practical info for Africa Online hub

The African hub will take place online at the same time as similar hybrid onsite and virtual hubs in Finland, Hungary, Germany and the USA. The events will be connected virtually so that African participants can join streamed sessions of other hubs on 20 and 21 October.

The aim is to get to know other participants as part of building an inclusive community beyond the conference. A virtual platform (Howspace) will be used to communicate before, during and after the conference.

A small participation fee will be charged, but a limited number of bursaries will be made available as fee waiver. The deadline for waiver applications is October 10th, 2021.

The participation fee is paid when registering for the event. The payment is made with a credit card. A payment receipt will be sent to you by e-mail.

Cancellation policy

For cancellations received by 31 August 2021, the paid participation fees will be fully refunded except for the possible invoicing fee. No refund will be issued for cancellations made after this date. No refunds will be made for no-shows. The refund will be made by bank transfer and possible bank charges will be for the registrants account. Participation that has already been registered can be transferred to another person without any extra charge. Cancellations and requests for refunds and registration transfers must always be made by email to
