SUSBIO Satellite seminar

Sustainable Biomedical and Toxicological Research (SUSBIO) – is one of the profiling areas at Tampere University funded by the Research Council of Finland. Several research groups from the Faculty of Medicine and Health Technology (MET) and the Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences (ENS) at Tampere University are participating in this multidisciplinary project that aims to emphasize and enhance the collaboration between the faculties. The key areas of SUSBIO are:

  • Development of novel, sustainable soft materials.
  • Advanced in vitro methods for studying human physiology and simulating complex disease mechanisms either utilizing soft materials or used to study soft materials.

 

The annual seminar of SUSBIO will be held as a satellite seminar of ScSB conference on Friday 9th of May 2025, between 9:30-16:00 in Vanajanlinna.

Separate registration is needed, as we can only take the 50 first participants. SUSBIO satellite seminar is free of charge for all participants.

The seminar will feature presentations by both internal and external speakers on topics closely related to the themes of the SUSBIO profiling action.
If you are attending the ScSB conference, you can also attend the SUSBIO seminar. If you are not planning to attend the ScSB conference, there will be bus transportation from Tampere to Vanajanlinna and back to Tampere on Friday. During the day, lunch and coffee will be provided for everyone registered.
