To foster scientific collaboration, the City of Tampere warmly invites you to a reception at the historic Old City Hall on Tuesday evening.

On Wednesday, choose your experience between a scenic cruise on Lake Pyhäjärvi or an authentic Finnish Sauna Evening.

The conference reaches its highlight on Thursday with the elegant Conference Dinner, a perfect setting to celebrate ideas and friendships.

Pre-registration is required for each activity and can be completed via the congress registration form.

Your name tag is the ticket to the events, so please remember to take it with you to all activities.

The City of Tampere invites all participants to a welcome reception at the historic Old City Hall, a perfect setting to start meaningful conversations.

Wednesday 10 June

Lake Pyhäjärvi Cruise

Immerse yourself in the lovely views of Lake Pyhäjärvi by taking the evening cruise. Dine on the lake and admire the sun as it sets. A delightful evening is guaranteed as the wondrous lake vistas, the warm service and the delicious food come together. A plentiful buffet meal is served on board, offering a selection of delicious cold starters and warm dishes.

The cruise with m/s Silver Sky embark at 18:00. We recommend arriving no later than fifteen minutes before your ship is due to embark.

Finnish Sauna Evening

Unwind after the day’s sessions with a traditional Finnish sauna experience at Varala Sport Resort, beautifully located on the shores of Lake Pyhäjärvi. Enjoy the authentic Finnish sauna, take a refreshing dip in the lake, and savor a delicious dinner while admiring stunning lake views.

Conference Dinner

Join us for an unforgettable evening in the Puistotorni Ballroom, located in the historic Puistotorni building in the heart of Tampere. This elegant venue combines Art Nouveau charm with modern amenities, creating the perfect atmosphere for networking and celebration. Enjoy excellent catering, a relaxed setting, and the opportunity to connect with fellow participants in one of Tampere’s most iconic event spaces.

At the dinner, the accordion artist and singer Janina Suihkola will perform. Despite her young age, she has already built a versatile career combining accordion and vocals. She has won, among other accolades, the Golden Accordion in 2018 and placed second in the singing competition The Voice of Finland in 2025.
