At the event, we follow the Finnish law and some more specific rules of conduct. If you do not follow the rules, you may be removed from the event, and your enrolment may be revoked. If you are removed from the event, your participation fee will not be refunded.
Threatening, violent, disruptive, and aggressive behaviour, physical and verbal abuse, discrimination, and harassment are naturally prohibited. Please note that harassment also includes pressuring, mocking, and offending others, even jokingly.
All TAMK events follow the rules for safer spaces. These include:
- Respecting people’s physical and emotional boundaries. No touching others without their consent. Giving others space and trying to give everyone the chance to contribute to discussions. Respecting other people’s privacy and discussing sensitive topics respectfully.
- Recognising the diversity of our community and valuing individual differences. Avoiding making assumptions about others based on their experiences, personal circumstances, and self-identity. Being aware that a person’s gender, sexual orientation, political orientation, or nationality cannot be inferred based on physical appearance.
- Not assuming everybody’s boundaries are the same.
- Acting respectfully in digital communications and interactions with others. Not sharing offensive or discriminatory content on digital platforms or in physical premises.
Involvement and participation
- Eye on TAMK organisers can give constructive feedback if they experience or witness inappropriate behaviour.
- If receiving feedback on your behaviour, keep an open mind and take the feedback into account.
There will be harassment contact persons attending Eye on TAMK, so if something happens, you can contact them. Their contact information will be given to the attendees closer to the event itself.
