Following the research presentations, the one-hour matchmaking session offers participants an opportunity to connect with researchers from both institutions, explore shared research interests and identify potential collaboration opportunities.
All abstracts will be shared with registered participants in advance, allowing you to explore topics and research interests before the event. The presentations during the Joint Research Day will also provide a starting point for discussions.
During the matchmaking session, participants can join the thematic breakout room(s) that best match their interests and engage in informal discussions with other participants. The session is intended primarily to help participants identify promising research connections and agree on follow-up meetings for more in-depth discussions. There will also be an opportunity to discuss potential collaboration ideas in more detail during the session. Particular attention will be given to exploring opportunities for researcher visits between the two institutions, including planning for voucher applications and potential visits.
We encourage participants to actively follow up on promising connections after the event. The matchmaking discussions and follow-up meetings can provide a basis for developing longer-term research collaboration, including joint funding applications and publications.
