Request for Nominations for the 4th Maki Celiac Disease Tampere Prize

The Maki Celiac Disease Tampere Prize (EUR 15,000) is an award presented to an individual whose research has made a significant contribution to the fields of celiac disease and other gluten-induced disease entities. An international expert review committee will select the recipient based on his/her clinical, translational and transformative research. The Tampere University has decided not to consider previous recipients of the Warren Prize in Celiac Disease.

Nominations are open worldwide. Nominations can be made by an individual, by the nominee him/herself or by a university, institution or company.

To submit a nomination, send:

  1. A signed nomination letter
  2. Summary (maximum 3 pages) of the nominee’s scientific achievements and significance to health care, industry, public in general and to the celiac community. This summary should also include Web of Science citation report: Number of publications at a certain date, the sum of times cited and h-index
  3. Short CV (maximum 3 pages)
  4. List of 20 selected publications and patents

The awardee will be notified of the Prize latest by May 31, 2020.

The award will be announced on Sept 18, 2020, at the Tampere Celiac Disease Symposium 2020 – From Genomics to Personalized Health, in Arvo Building, Tampere University, Faculty of Medicine and Health Technology, Tampere, Finland, where the laureate will give a keynote lecture presenting his/her research.
