Call For Micropresentations

Purpose:

The conference includes a session on Thursday afternoon where conference participants may hold micro-presentations. The purpose of this ‘in-the-pipeline’ session is to share experiences, seek collaboration and trigger further feedback about academic work related to industrial engineering and management (IEM).

Format:
Micro-presentation (max 5 min) in a themed session where similar extended abstracts are grouped.  Themes will be based on type of content and then specific topics.  Depending on participation, the presentations are either in planum (if not too many) or in groups

Type of content:

  • Research (planned, ongoing, finished)
  • Teaching (curriculum, methods, material)
  • Third mission (popularization, commercialization, engagement with industry and society)


Process (deadlines):

  1. Submit extended abstract to scaiem2026@tuni.fi (by 15 October 2026)
  2. Acceptance of abstract (by November 2026)
  3. Presentation at conference (26 November 2026)

Acceptance criteria:

  • 500-1500 words.
  • Evaluation of content:
  • Relevance of topic for IEM.
  • Contribution to current understanding and practice.
  • Quality of work and presentation.
  • Potential for stimulating debate.
