Please note that Cyprus uses type G electrical socket, which is common in the United Kingdom and Ireland. Hence, those arriving from other European countries or from outside Europe may need an adapter for their electrival devices.
Conference venue and accomodation
The conference will take place in Coral Beach Hotel & Resort, Paphos, Cyprus, 5 – 6 May 2022. You can find the hotel on Google Maps here.
The registration fee does not include accommodation. Participants need to pay for their accommodation separately. The conference organizers have negotiated special reduced prices with the Coral Beach Hotel & Resort for the conference participants.

How to use the code
1. Guests need to visit https://coralbeach.reserve-online.net to book Coral Beach Hotel & Resort.
2. They need to select the dates they would like to stay in the Availability Search Bar. In this case it can be any time between 02/05/2022 – 08/05/2022.
3. Next they must select the small grey ‘Booking Code’ button which is located directly above the Availability search bar and type code ORCID22.
4. Then they will be able to proceed with their reservation
Alternatively, guests can visit https://bit.ly/ORCID22 (where the booking code has already been applied) and proceed with their booking.
Hotel payment policy
25% of the total accommodation cost is taken as a deposit at time of the booking, in order to secure the booking. Remaining balance is paid to the Hotel by the guest on arrival before check-in at Reception desk.
Hotel cancellation policy
For accommodation cancelled between 7 to 4 days prior to the arrival of the guest, the hotel will charge a cancellation fee of three (3) nights on terms booked. For accommodation cancelled within 3 days prior to the arrival of the guest, the full amount of the accommodation booked will be charged on terms booked.

Travel from/to the airports
Conference delegates travelling to Cyprus by air may use the Larnaca International Airport (airport with frequent air traffic) or the Paphos International Airport (smaller airport with less traffic).
Travelling from the Larnaca airport to Paphos
The distance between Larnaca airport and the Coral Bay Hotel is 142km. There is a bus transfer between the Larnaca airport and Paphos. After you arrive at Paphos, you can continue to the hotel by bus or taxi. Note, that the bus drive between the Larnaca airport and Paphos takes between 1,5 and 3 hours depending on the route selected. The last bus from the Larnaca airport to Paphos leaves around 19:30 on weekdays.

Conference participants may also take a private taxi from/to the airports. There is a taxi station at the Coral Bay Hotel and the hotel can offer special offers for transfer prices. Organizing shared taxi rides from the Larnaca airport to Paphos
Should the participants prefer that they are grouped together and use a shuttle or taxi to make their way from the Larnaca airport to the hotel, the conference organizers are willing to help. In such a case, the cost per participant will be around 25 to 30 EURO. However, it might be necessary for people who arrive first to wait at the airport for some time until the rest of the people in their own group arrive at the airport. Also, availability of this option is contingent upon the individuals’ travel schedules. If there are participants who would like to try this option, they should email the organizers at esarn15.midterm2022@tuni.fi with their arrival time at Larnaca airport. The transfer requests must be sent to the organizers by 1 April 2022.
Travelling from the Paphos Airport to the hotel
There are no busses operating between the Paphos International Airport and the Coral Bay hotel. Hence, the easiest way to get from the Paphos airport to the hotel is to take a taxi.
Session format
Each session consists of 3 to 4 presentations and lasts 90 minutes. Each presentation has been allocated 15 minutes. There will be time for discussion and questions after all presentations have been held. We ask each presentator to arrive at the seminar room 5 minutes before the start of the session in order to save their presentation on to a conference computer. This helps to ensure that the sessions proceed smoothly without any major interruptions. Please save your presentation on to a USB Flash Drive beforehand.
