On 15 September 2027, the ECHC 2027 will hold a pre-conference for doctoral researchers before the start of the main conference. During the pre-conference, selected participants will have the opportunity to present their work and receive feedback from senior researchers in the field, in addition to networking with other doctoral researchers working on health communication topics from across Europe.
The doctoral pre-conference is limited to 18 participants. To participate in the pre-conference, participants should submit an abstract with a maximum length of 500 words (excl. references, tables and figures) by 28 February 2027 at the latest to the following email address: echc2027@tuni.fi. In the pre-conference, participants can present either (1) an article manuscript they are currently working on, (2) an extended abstract of their doctoral dissertation, or (3) a detailed research plan / dissertation proposal.
If selected, participants will need to submit a paper (length of 1300 / 1500 words) by 31 July 2027, give a short (5 / 10 minutes) presentation of their work, and actively engage in the pre-conference discussions. Participants and senior researchers in the field will discuss together the papers submitted by the participants. Detailed instructions will follow once selected.
In addition to the presentations and discussions in small groups, the doctoral pre-conference will also include other activities relevant to early-career researchers.
