We are happy to announce that CiBEn 2025 received more than 140 submissions from researchers and practitioners based in 30 countries on five continents (Europe, Asia, North America, South America, and Africa). The submission is now closed, peer-review is taking place, and decisions are being made.
Presenters’ deadline for early bird registration has been extended to July 31. The registration link will be sent to authors in conjunction with the acceptance decision.
A few open seats remain; the possibility for a late submission can be requested by email from the conference office (ciben2025@tuni.fi). The remaining seats will be opened for sale for non-presenting attendees closer to the conference, after the presenters have had the chance to register.
About the conference
The 2nd International Conference on Circularity in the Built Environment (CiBEn) brings together pioneering researchers from all over Europe and beyond to share knowledge on the state-of-the-art on circular construction. Organised in collaboration between Tampere University (Finland), TU Delft (the Netherlands), KTH (Sweden), Brandenburg TU Cottbus-Senftenberg (Germany), TU Eindhoven (the Netherlands), Circular Structural Design (Germany), Green Building Council Croatia and the Horizon 2020 project ‘Reusing precast concrete for a circular economy’ (ReCreate), CiBEn 2025 aims at becoming a major point of contact between researchers and practitioners dealing with all aspects of a sustainable circular economy in the built environment.

Publication
Accepted abstracts and short papers are published in the conference proceedings upon the conference. The proceedings will be available online in Open Access and have DOI and ISBN numbers.
