Participation instructions
You can join the Zoom video meeting using Windows, Mac, Linux, iOS, or Android device without a Zoom account.
Make sure your Zoom app version is at least 5.16.5.
Open the link in your browser and allow the Zoom app to launch. If the app doesn’t start, you can join in other ways:
Click here if the app is installed but didn’t launch
Download & run Zoom to install and start the app
Join from your browser (Chrome or Firefox recommended)
You can also install the Zoom app on your mobile device and join that way.
During the webinar, participants’ audio and video will be disabled. Questions can only be asked in writing via the Q&A feature.
You can also join using just the Meeting ID in the Zoom app or browser.
Listening to the webinar in English
Computer (Windows / Mac)
Join the Zoom meeting.
Click the Interpretation button (globe icon 🌐) in the meeting controls toolbar at the bottom of the screen.
Select the language you want to hear from the list (e.g., English or Finnish).
Optional: If you do not want to hear the original speaker faintly in the background, click the globe icon again and select Mute Original Audio.
Mobile Device (Smartphone / Tablet)
Join the Zoom meeting using the mobile app.
Tap the screen and select the More button (three dots •••) in the bottom right corner.
Tap Language Interpretation.
Select the language you want to hear.
Tap Done in the top right corner.
Optional: To completely silence the background speaker, switch on Mute Original Audio.
Questions and Q&A practices
You can ask questions during the webinar using the Q&A feature at the bottom of the Zoom screen.
Questions are first visible only to the organizers, so you don’t need to repeat your question if you don’t see it right away.
Once answered, both the question and answer will be published for all participants to see.
Please do not include personal information in your question. Written questions will not be saved in the webinar recording.
Questions will be answered in Q&A by experts from the Tampere University´s Admissions Services and Juniversity.
