Look behind you and you can see the future! The professionalisation of research services has been strong over the last decade. This panel will give voice to decades of experience in supporting research in universities and will take a look at the history of research services and the years of growth in services. Hannele Auffermann, Jaana Backman, Soile Haverinen and Leila Risteli will discuss about the subject. The discussion will be moderated by Emma Pirilä from the University of Oulu.

Bus transportation to the evening event at Rosendahl
We have arranged bus transportation from Tampere city centre to Rosendahl.
The buses leave between 17.45-18.00, each bus when they are full. The last bus leaves at 18.00.
Route 1: from Sokos Hotel Ilves (Hatanpään valtatie 1, Tampere).
Route 2: in front of Tampere-talo (Yliopistonkatu 55, Tampere).
You can also arrive using public transport, bus line 10 to Tahmela.

Evening party in Rosendahl
We will celebrate the evening with dinner and unforgettable entertainment at Scandic Rosendahl. This time, we won’t disappear into the city — instead, we’ll kick off a retro party at the Joselin’s nightclub. Expect a full 90s vibe with DJ playing Dr. Alban and tequila sunrises flowing.
The dress code for the evening event is smart casual – you can also draw inspiration from the retro theme and dress accordingly.

Route 2: One stop in Tampere Railway Station, final stop Tampere-talo (Yliopistonkatu 55, Tampere).
