The Radical Care for the City week takes place in the City of Tampere, Finland. This city of workers and radical history is currently one of the fastest growing and most popular cities in Finland. The cityscape is changing rapidly, and therefore the questions of urban sustainability and care are crucial for Tampere.

Tampere University consists of seven faculties, making it a genuinely multidisciplinary university. Urban sustainability has been recognized as one of the main themes in the current Tampere University Strategy. Education in architecture and strong focus on urban research and studies makes Tampere University one the key universities in the field of urban issues in Finland.
