About the conference
For the fourth time, the Finnish Association for Psychedelic Research (Psyty), now in collaboration with Tampere University, is organizing an international, interdisciplinary scientific conference on psychedelics in Finland.
The overarching theme of Psykedeelit 2027 – The 4th Finnish Interdisciplinary Conference on Psychedelics is Integrating Psychedelics.
The conference welcomes submissions from all fields of science related to psychedelic substances or other psychedelic phenomena. However, we particularly invite submissions relating to the broad theme of integration.
In the context of psychedelics, integration can mean many things at many levels. At the very least, it may refer to 1) the integration phase or integration activities in the days and weeks following psychedelic ingestion; 2) how individuals integrate insights and new information from psychedelic experiences into their identities, beliefs, and worldviews in the longer term; 3) how psychedelics and psychedelic-assisted therapies could be integrated into existing systems of (psychiatric) healthcare; 4) the integration of psychedelics into our societies and cultures, including wellness industries, capital markets, and social life; and 5) attempts to integrate the ways in which different fields of science and/or epistemologies approach and understand psychedelics.
Across disciplines, scales, levels of explanation, what does it mean to put the pieces together? Are we integrating psychedelics?
