Safer space policy

The Nordic Labour History Conference is committed to providing a safe, inclusive, and respectful environment for all participants. This policy outlines our dedication to preventing harassment and discrimination, ensuring everyone feels welcome and valued.

Respect

  • Give everyone the chance to contribute to discussions and respect their privacy.
  • Value diversity and avoid making assumptions about others’ identities or experiences.
  • Act responsibly in positions of authority and privilege, and do not abuse your power.

Preventing Discrimination and Harassment

  • Treat everyone equally, regardless of gender, age, ethnicity, religion, beliefs, opinions, health, disability, sexual orientation, or other personal characteristics.
  • Avoid belittling or embarrassing others and steer clear of stereotypes.
  • Help maintain a community free from discrimination and harassment, seeking assistance if needed.

Involvement and Participation

  • Provide constructive feedback if you witness or experience inappropriate behavior.
  • Keep an open mind when receiving feedback and take it into account.
  • Promote opportunities for involvement and participation, ensuring everyone’s voice is heard.
