Emmi Nuorgam

Entrepreneur, producer and author

Emmi Nuorgam graduated with Bachelor of Culture and Arts from Tampere University of Applied Sciences in spring 2012. For ten years she has worked as marketing manager, producer, columnist, community manager, journalist, author and entrepreneur. The jobs have overlapped each other and thrown Nuorgam from music business to food and restaurant marketing. What they all have in common is social media.

Nuorgam is one of the founders of the influencer marketing agency PING Helsinki and a long-time producer of PING Helsinki Business Festival. She has influenced growth of the Tubecon event in the board of Suomen Tubetapahtumat Oy and currently represents all Finnish social media influencers in Mediapooli. Nuorgam’s views on responsible influencer marketing have been published for example in Mediapooli’s guide Feikkiä vai faktaa (2020) and Misme Halonen’s book Vaikuttajamarkkinointi (2019). In her day job, she works with Youtube and Instagram productions in Yle Kioski.

Olli Seuri

D.Soc.Sc, Journalist, Journalism Researcher

For the past ten years, Seuri has mainly worked with current affairs programmes in Yle. He is known as a host of Ykkösaamu and A-Talk. In addition, he participates in making the podcasts Päivystävät dosentit, Avoin kysymys and Jaa, ei, tyhjiä, poissa.

Alongside being a journalist, Seuri is a post doc researcher in the Flows of Power research project funded by the Academy of Finland. He did his doctoral thesis at Tampere University in 2016. In 2017, Seuri published a book called Totuuden jälkeen with his three colleagues. His next book on interviewing is due to be published in autumn 2020. Seuri was awarded with Journalist of the Year in 2017 and Suomen Kuvalehti Journalist Prize in 2019. Seuri was a professor of practice in journalism at Tampere University in 2019-2020.
