Venue
This event will take place at Scandic Rosendahl Hotel conference venue. If you want to book a hotel room for the night at the venue, ask for a discount code by contacting the organizers (ens-events.tau@tuni.fi).
On-site Registration desk
The desk will be located in the conference lobby. Please come here to pick up your badge for both events. The on-site registration desk will be open 9:30-10:00 and 17:30-18.
Badges
Please keep your badge visible in both events. This is a really important security issue.
Notice that the same badge is used in both events. The badge shows which event you have registered. Remember to bring the badge also to the Get Together Party.
Cloak room / Narikka
In both events, a free guarded cloak room is available next to the registration desk. Please remember to pick up your coat after the event.
Coffee
Coffee is available in the conference lobby during the ENS Science Day.
Lobby bar
If you want to wait for the Get Together party in the hotel after the Science Day, the hotel lobby bar is open. There is also a pool table and a Wii Wall. Wintergarden area is also reserved for us between the day and night program.
Transportation
The hotel is about 20 min walking distance from Pyynikintori. You can easily arrive to the hotel by bus or car.
- The hotel can be reached easily, take Bus 10 (to Tahmela) from the center of Tampere. Pyynikintie bus stop is next to the hotel.
- You can park in the hotel’s parking area for free with a parking permit. Parking permits can be found at the hotel’s registration desk.
Wi-Fi
Wi-Fi is available in all meeting rooms, in almost all hotel rooms and in all public areas at the hotel. You will access the Wi-Fi by clicking Scandic_easy and simply press Click to connect.
