Dynamis 2026

3.-5.6.2026, Tampere University, Pinni B (room 0039)

The annual meeting of Dynamis: the Finnish Network for Metaphysics.

Dynamis 2026 conference spans three days and brings together philosophers working on metaphysics in Finland. Dynamis adopts an inclusive, broad conception of metaphysics, which encompasses related research in history of philosophy; philosophies of language, science, mind and mathematics; and phenomenological and continental approaches.

Keynote speakers:

Markku Keinänen (Tampere University)

James Miller (Durham University)

Lilian O’Brien (Tampere University)

The first day of Dynamis 2026 is dedicated to celebrating the 60th birthday of Markku Keinänen.

The conference is free to attend and everyone is welcome!

Venue: The seminar is held in room Pinni B 0039, which is located on the ground floor in the south side of the Pinni B building. (Number 2 on this map: https://www.tuni.fi/en/tau/campuses/city-centre-campus/map)

Because of the university entrance exams held at the same time, we recommend using the other entrance and not the main doors of Pinni B to access the room. You will find the right door by going down the stairs that are outside next to the main doors. An accessible route without stairs goes through the main doors and left, past the coat check, and taking the elevator down one floor.
