Nordic Network for LGBTQ+ Research on Health and Living Conditions Conference

8–9 October 2026 – Tampere University, Finland

About the conference

The Nordic Network for LGBTQ+ research on Health and Living Conditions aims to gather the Nordic LGBTQ+ research on health and living conditions in a wide sense, to share research results, and to organize network meetings and conferences. The network coordinator is Kiin Catrine Andersson, Associate professor in Social Work at Malmö University.

The network’s next conference will be held at the Tampere University in Finland on 8–9 October 2026. The event is organized in collaboration with the Nordic Network for Trans Studies. The theme of the conference is Creating new spaces. The conference invites us to think together about how we can create and sustain new spaces for collaboration, research ideas, theoretical development and public engagement.

This conference is an opportunity for both established and early-career researchers to share ideas, present their work, forge new partnerships, and collectively reflect on Nordic LGBTQI+ health and welfare research. You can find the Call for Papers here. The conference is free for all participants.
