Where can I find a place where hats and/or swords can be rented? Can I offer my hat to be rented?
Unfortunately, the Conferment Committee does not act in an intermediary capacity to organise rentals. You should use a search engine to find hat and sword rental services online and ask your networks for tips.
How do I know if I need a sword?
Doctors to be conferred must carry a sword, except for Doctors of Science in Technology or Architecture and Doctors of Philosophy who earned or began their degree at the former Tampere University of Technology. The conferment tradition in the field of technology and architecture does not include a sword.
