Max Petzold

Max Petzold is a professor in biostatistics and is head of the School of Public Health at University of Gothenburg. He has a long experience of studies in epidemiology but has also work extensively in intervention studies, especially evaluating community interventions to decrease the burden of vector born diseases. In the Nordic countries Max has worked in a number of register based studies in e.g. pharmacoepidemiology and more recently in Nordic register based In Vitro Fertilisation (IVF) studies. As the director of the Swedish National Data Service (www.snd.gu.se ) which provides all Swedish universities with Open Data services, Max has a special interest in making Open Data useful and available for studies in epidemiology including the work with restricted data containing sensitive personal data.
