We are pleased to announce the call for abstracts for the first IIHF World Championships Medical Congress on Injuries & Illness in Ice Hockey. You are invited to submit an abstract of original research related to injuries or/and illness in ice hockey as a poster presentation at this congress. Abstracts on injuries or/and illness in sports other than ice hockey may be considered for inclusion at the poster presentation.
Please submit your presentation proposal on this form by March 31, 2022 (link opens to a new window). All abstracts will undergo peer review. Abstracts presented elsewhere can be accepted. Decisions on acceptance will be made, after which the presenting author will be notified by April 15, 2022. Abstracts will be accepted as poster presentations. Two or three of all abstracts may be invited for a short oral presentation. Paid conference registration is required for presenting author. Abstracts will be published here on the congress website. PLEASE NOTE: Registration at the meeting will be limited.
GUIDELINES FOR ABSTRACT SUBMISSION
The abstract word limit will be 350 words. The abstract must be written in English. Abbreviations are allowed, but must be clearly defined.An abstract must be structured as follows: Title – Objectives – Methods – Results – Conclusions.In addition, each submission must include the following information (not counted in the 350 words):
- Presenting author: name, highest academic degrees, affiliations, email address, phone number.
- Co-authors: name, highest academic degrees, affiliations.
- Disclosure of any competing interests of each author (relevant relationships or potential conflicts of interest). If there are no competing interest, it should be stated.
- Trial registration (if applicable): registry and number
