What was it like to study and work on the Kauppi campus in years past? Join us to explore how problem-based learning has transformed education, how collaboration between Tampere University and the Wellbeing Services County of Pirkanmaa (Pirha) is delivering results, and discover the future vision of the Faculty of Medicine and Health Technology (MET), which brings together expertise in medicine, biotechnology and engineering. Welcome to hear insights from key figures on the Kauppi campus and reconnect with your fellow alumni!
The panellists include Professor Emeritus Jukka Mustonen, Vice President Tapio Visakorpi, Chief Medical Officer Sirpa Rainesalo (Pirha), Professor Mark van Gils and Vice Dean for Education Nina Hutri.

Spend a relaxed afternoon reconnecting with familiar faces and exploring the modern learning environments on the Kauppi campus.
All guided tours depart from the ground floor of the Kauppi campus, outside the Yellow Hall (Finnish: Keltainen sali).
Tours of the Tampere Centre for Skills Training and Simulation will begin at 14:30 and 15:30.
Group walks to the Tampere Surgical Education Centre will depart at 14:15 and 15:15. Please note that this tour is not fully accessible, and the destination is approximately a 300-metre walk from the Kauppi campus.
Please register separately for each tour you wish to attend. Participants who have signed up for the activities on the Kauppi campus will receive further instructions via email.

The Tampere Surgical Education Centre offers modern facilities where physicians and nurses can practise surgical skills that are critical to patient safety, in conditions that simulate a real operating theatre.
