The keynote seminar will explore pivotal themes shaping Finland’s sustainable future. Come and listen to engaging talks from the fields of technology, health, and society.

City centre campus

The programme on the city centre campus showcases current research from a crossdisciplinary perspective and the societal debate sparked by this research. The themes covered will include, for example, artificial intelligence in communications, game studies, our ageing society, sustainable economy, language learning in professional contexts, and building peace in Ukraine.

The programme will also feature timely presentations by our research staff, alumni stories, campus tours and visits to learning environments. And of course, don’t miss the chance to enjoy a steaming cup of coffee at Alakuppila Café with old friends and new acquaintances.

Hervanta campus

Join us on the Hervanta campus to celebrate 60 years of engineering education in Tampere. The programme will include a shared celebration highlighting the history, present and future of engineering education. You will also hear timely talks from representatives of Tampere University and our alumni. In the afternoon, you will have the opportunity to explore the latest advancements in the fields of engineering, reconnect with familiar faces and meet new ones, visit laboratories and take part in campus tours.

Kauppi campus

On the Kauppi campus, alumni of the Faculty of Medicine and Health Technology (MET) and all other participants can explore the latest teaching methods in clinical skills using teaching robots and simulations at the Tampere Centre for Skills Training and Simulation. We will also visit the teaching laboratory to see if the pipette grip still holds as well as take a tour of the new Tampere Surgical Education Centre launched by Tampere University Hospital/Wellbeing Services County of Pirkanmaa (Pirha); please note that separate registration is required for this tour when signing up for Homecoming Day.

Evening programme at Tampere Hall
