Helle Neergaard

Helle Neergaard (PhD) is Professor of Entrepreneurship at the Faculty for Business and Social Sciences and Distinguished Senior Innovator at Aarhus University. Her research passions include gender in entrepreneurship, entrepreneurship education and qualitative research methods. Through her research on women’s entrepreneurship, she wants to create a better societal understanding for women’s way of setting up and running a business. In entrepreneurship education she is known for her research on existential learning and development of educational interventions. Methodologically, she has a strong track record with several book chapters and books on qualitative methods.

Neergaard has 30 years’ experience teaching at all levels of education. She has taught international business, strategy, organization, leadership, entrepreneurship, and social innovation at Aarhus University and internationally using a student-centred learning approach. She has ten year’s boardroom experience from the non-profit organization European Council of Small Business of which she was president from 2013-15.

 

Balint Minna

 

 

Minna Bálint, Counsellor Of Education at Opetushallitus, works in the Department of Upper Secondary Education and Vocational Education at the Ministry of Education and Culture. Among other things, she chairs the working group on entrepreneurship education and financial literacy guidelines, which was appointed in June 2025.

 

 

 

 

 

Timo Pihkala

 

 

Timo Pihkala, PhD, Professor, works in the Department of Production Economics at LUT University in the Entrepreneurship team. His research interests include entrepreneurship, strategic management, ownership and entrepreneurship education.
